![]() ![]() Sadie has no idea that her journey to avenge her sister will soon become the subject of a blockbuster podcast. But when it’s revealed that Sadie fled home after the brutal murder of her little sister, Mattie, West travels to the small town of Cold Creek, Colorado, to uncover what happened. When popular radio personality West McCray receives a desperate phone call from a stranger imploring him to find nineteen-year-old runaway Sadie Hunter, he’s not convinced there’s a story there girls go missing all the time. “Today, WNRK is launching the first episode of our new serialized podcast, The Girls, created and hosted by West McCray.” Reviews: Amazon, Good Reads, Common Sense Media Although this book is incredibly heavy and, in my opinion, not recommended for readers younger than 10th grade, it is a must read. ![]() The unique narration alternates chapters with Sadie telling half of the story and the other half surrounding a podcast that’s being created about her. The audio production was amazing and I loved the array of voices. I listened to it as an audiobook which was such a treat. The storytelling is absolutely superb and the writing is flawless. It’s raw, gritty, enthralling, and will claw at your heart until the very end. ![]() I can say with full certainty that Sadie is a story that will never leave me. ![]()
